Preparing for Pandemics, Terrorism and Other Public Health Emergencies

Please join us at the Chester County Economic Development Council as Dr. John P. Maher, County Health Director for the Chester County Health Department, provides an overview of how to prepare for the threat of terrorism and other public health emergencies. Topics covered will include:

  • Where are we?
  • How we got here (evolution from civil defense to all-hazards planning)
  • Emerging trends in terrorism Spectrum of man-made and natural disasters
  • Who's doing what?
  • Importance of the private sector PODs (points of distribution) planning and function

The presentation will be following by a question and answer period. Be sure to register early for this important presentation!
