Date: Wednesday, April 18, 2007 Time: 3:00pm to 5:00pm Location: Chester County Economic Development Council 737 Constitution Drive, Exton Cost: Free!! ______________________________ This meeting is hosted by the newly formed Bioscience Industry Partnership (formerly the Life Science Career Alliance Bio-pharmaceutical Industry Partnership and the Life Science Industry Partnership-LSIP). The merger of these two partnerships is a collaboration among PA Bio, Life Science Career Alliance and Chester County Economic Development Council and brings together stakeholders from industry, education, workforce and economic development, and others to further the partnership's mission to grow and develop the region's life science workforce by creating a collaborative environment that draws on the collective resources of industry, academia, government and other supporting organizations. This session will share critical success factors and lessons learned in implementing and managing a successful internship or externship program in your company. Industry representatives will discuss their programs and provide the "how to's" of partnering with local colleges and universities for a successful program. Local colleges and universities will be on hand to share resources and provide information on their own programs. They will be available to discuss opportunities one-on-one and provide information on the current interns and externs available. The following Colleges and Universities will be in attendance: Community College of Philadelphia, Delaware County Community College, Immaculata University, Kutztown University, Montgomery County Community College, Penn State - Great Valley, University of Pennsylvania, West Chester University, and more! 3:00 p.m. Business meeting for Bioscience Industry Partnership (Industry members only for the business meeting) 3:30 p.m. Presentations: Externships and Internships . 3E Institute - Teacher Externships .
