MISSION

The mission of the Kennett Square Economic Development Services Center (EDSC) is to encourage and promote smart economic growth and prosperity of Kennett Square and the surrounding areas of southern Chester County. This will be accomplished by providing local access to business and economic development services through the collaboration of partner agencies.

OBJECTIVES

  Provide southern Chester County-based businesses local
   access to business and economic development services.

  Increase the number of viable businesses in the downtown
   area.

  Sustain and grow existing and emerging small businesses
   through training, mentoring, and consultation.

  Significantly increase the access of Kennett Square businesses
   to affordable capital.

SERVICES

A full range of economic development services including assistance with:

  small business loans and support

  entrepreneurial training, mentoring and consultation

  workforce development, expansion and/or retention

  international business assistance

  environmental assistance/Brownfields redevelopment and
   consultation

  agricultural economic development

  advancing technological improvements

  site relocation and/or site selection

  legal and insurance referrals
