J. A. "Bud" Batcher, III
Bud Batcher is a seasoned executive in Marketing and Sales Management. He has over thirty years experience in growing the revenues of small, medium and large companies. Mr. Batcher earned a BS degree in Experimental Psychology and an MBA in Marketing from the University of Pittsburgh. While attending graduate school, he formed a small business consulting company that later became a university service to the community and a continuing part of the graduate curriculum.

Bud served as Vice President of Marketing and Executive Board member for a global manufacturer of rolling bearings; he has held senior management positions with TRW, Firestone Tire and Rubber, and Gulf Oil Company; and he was a founding member of Sun Oil Company’s first corporate planning department.

Concurrent to his corporate career, he acquired a fast food restaurant and used aggressive marketing techniques to increase revenues six-fold over six years.

Now, Mr. Batcher directs Kutztown University’s Small Business Development Center office in Exton, PA. This SBDC program coordinates federal, state, university, and private resources in counseling and educating small business owners. Services include individual business and management coaching, and assistance in marketing, finance, and organization development. He is offering many free seminars at the Chester County Library on entrepreneurial subjects, such as starting a business and writing a business plan, and small fee courses at the Chester County Economic Development Council.

Bud has promoted his SBDC services with appearances on local radio and cable television, speaking at local chambers of commerce, and networking.
