George Boehm
George is a Government Marketing Specialist for the Government Programs of the Kutztown University Small Business Development Center (KUSBDC) which covers a ten (10) county area in Southeastern PA from the counties of Delaware (western part) and Chester out to Adams and Franklin, including Lancaster, Berks, Lebanon, Dauphin, York and Cumberland. One of these Government Programs provides free counseling assistance to those companies wanting to start doing business with the Government (Federal, State and/or Local) or want to increase their current Government business. The other Government Program is directed toward providing free counseling assistance to those companies, both prime and subcontractor, that have been impacted by the cutbacks in the DoD. Both programs provide free Government Procurement Opportunities to businesses through an electronic Bid Matching service.

George has over 30 years experience in the Aerospace Industry working with both large companies on radar systems, gunfire control systems, missile systems, R&D, etc. and small companies working on telemetry systems, security systems, data systems, etc. His experience entails managing the departments of Program Management, Project Management, Contracts, Proposal Writing, Proposal Pricing, Materials Subcontracting, Production Control, etc. George has also established and managed self contained manufacturing divisions for engineering companies to accomplish the production of the Navy’s Telemetry for the Standard Missile (50 employees) and the Navy’s Basic Point Defense Surface Missile System (175 employees). George has served in the positions of Divisional Managing Director, VP Administration, VP Program Management/Contracts and was Secretary on the Board of Directors of Defense Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of a major corporation.

George has a BSEE degree from Rutgers University and has studied toward an MSEE at both New York University and Steven’s Institute of Technology (NJIT). George and his wife reside in Willistown, close to his children and grandchildren. Other accomplishments include being President of the Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Services non-profit organization (10 years), Chairman and Secretary of Planning Boards (15 years), Sports Foundation coach in soccer, baseball and basketball (12 years).
