Chester County Keystone Innovation Zone
(KIZ)
KIZs are a state-wide initiative of Governor
Edward G. Rendell to build knowledge-based economies and cultivate
entrepreneurship in Pennsylvania. It is a geographically designated
zone that is designed to foster innovation and create
entrepreneurial opportunities. It achieves this objective by
aligning the combined resources of educational institutions, private
businesses, business support organizations, commercial lending
institutions, venture capital networks, angel investors, and
foundations. The Chester County KIZ is 1 of 29 throughout the
State.
To be KIZ Eligibile, your company has to meet
the criteria below:
- Businesses focused on the
life science/bio technology or information technology industries
- Eight years or less in
operation
- Operating within the
designated geographical boundaries of the CC KIZ
